Catrina Higgs

Catrina Higgs is an abstract expressionist who lives in Campbellsville, KY.  She is a prolific artist who works with an urgency that is palpable in her paintings. By exploring the pain and beauty of motherhood, she seeks connection to a wider community and communicates the experiences of mothers everywhere.  In her portraits, she reflects the feelings of daily life as an artist mother as well as the experiences of every mother and parent caring for their children while maintaining their own health and identity. Raw, and unfiltered, Catrina’s works contribute to the significant cannon of Motherhood Art and reveal the need of all of us to be seen and represented.
